Daily balance checks that pass an audit
Most balance findings in audits come from the routine, not the balance: a check skipped, a weight with no certificate, a result written on a loose sheet. Check each balance daily with an F2 weight near the amounts you actually weigh, record it on a printout from the balance itself, and keep the weight’s certificate on file. Put analytical balances on a stable bench away from doors and air-conditioning vents, because a draught shows up in the fourth decimal long before anyone feels it.
