About Hindustan Scale Company
Hindustan Scale Company (HSCo) is a weighing scale manufacturer in Mumbai, founded in 1955 and run from 186/188 Janjikar Street, near Crawford Market. We make electronic and mechanical weighing scales, from 0.01 mg to 100 metric tons in the electronic range. We also build connected weighing systems: the ports and the software that carry a reading from the scale into a PLC, an app, a cloud dashboard or your ERP.
The company has 4 divisions. Manufacturing builds the scales. R&D and Technology designs the hardware and writes the software, including Connectivity & Customised Scales for individual customers. Imports brings in chipsets and other components from Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. After Sales Service looks after the scale once it is at your site, anywhere in India, through more than 1,440 repairers, service dealers and technicians.
Blue Whale Technology is HSCo’s software and IoT arm. It writes the Android and iOS apps, cloud dashboards, data logging, auto printing, alerts and the ERP and billing links to Tally Prime, SAP, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho Books, Busy and Marg ERP. Its apps are in use at more than 340 customers.
Every stage of manufacture is checked, with repeatability and accuracy tests and a QC laboratory check on the assembled instrument. HSCo is ISO 9001:2015 certified, and calibration certificates come through NABL-accredited labs.
We supply all of India and export to 26 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, the USA and South-East Asia. Customers include L&T, ThyssenKrupp, Aditya Birla, Tata Chemicals, DTDC, VRL, Vegrow and Revasa Farms. Every scale carries a 1-year warranty plus 1 year of Legal Metrology stamping, and we arrange the re-verification when it falls due.

At Hindustan Scale Company we strictly follow Total Quality Management (TQM). Quality Process
The Quality of the Weighing Instruments is checked during all the Manufacturing stages. Thousands of parts are made each day, and every component is checked and inspected properly. Consequently, time to time we take random samples of a weighing instrument and check to ensure that they meet set specifications for size, shape, and consistency. The primary testing method is a repeatability and accuracy test although more rigorous measurements are also made. Secondary testing is performed by various types of measuring equipment.
Quality tests are performed on all the electronic components of the weighing instruments. After all the components come together in the weighing instrument and its finally assembled, it is taken to the Quality Control (QC) laboratory for testing. Physical and Electronic characteristics are checked to make sure the batch adheres to the specifications outlined as per our quality manifesto.
