The HSCo HSC-I-CIRIBI cooling incubator, also called a refrigerated or BOD incubator, holds samples at any temperature from 0 to 65 °C, for BOD tests, keeping microbial cultures, pharmaceutical stability studies and incubating sensitive samples. An air-cooled hermetic compressor with R134a refrigerant cools, stainless-steel heaters warm, and a PID controller with a PT100 sensor holds the setting within ±0.5 °C (±1 °C at low temperatures). The chamber is mirror stainless steel with polyurethane insulation and automatic defrosting. Three sizes, 70, 150 and 250 L; BIII models run at a fixed temperature, BX models run 10-step programs.
