A car plant runs on parts, and parts are counted, weighed and tested all day. Thousands of fasteners are counted into kits, engines and dies are lifted on the crane, finished vehicles have axle loads to meet, and every supplier’s material has to pass a strength test. Get the count wrong and the line stops. Get the axle load wrong and the vehicle fails homologation.

Weighing axles without a weighbridge
Axle loads matter for design checks, for loading trucks legally and for spotting a vehicle that’s been built or loaded unevenly. Portable axle weigh pads do it on any flat floor: drive the vehicle onto the pads one axle at a time, and the indicator shows each axle load and adds up the total. The pads pack away afterwards, so a workshop or test bay doesn’t need a permanent weighbridge.
Getting kit counts right
Counting by weight is only as good as the sample and the scale. For steel fasteners and machined parts that are close in weight, a counting platform scale gives a reliable count from a small sample. For very light parts, use a finer scale or a bigger sample so one piece still registers clearly. Tell us the part and the kit size and we’ll suggest the combination.
