Moving from manual to automatic titration
Manual titration depends on the analyst’s eye at the endpoint, which is why two people get two answers. An automatic titrator detects the endpoint electrically and records the volume, so the result is the same whoever runs it. Electronic burettes are a halfway step: they dispense in 0.01 ml increments and remove reading errors, while the analyst still judges the endpoint.
Certificates of analysis your customers trust
A certificate of analysis is only as good as the instruments behind it. Keep balances checked daily with certified weights, calibrate pH meters and titrators before use, and keep printouts or files of the raw results. When a customer questions a result, you can show exactly how it was obtained.
