HSCo supplies ICP-OES and ICP-MS systems for multi-element trace analysis in environmental, pharmaceutical, food, geological and industrial labs. Both use an inductively coupled plasma to break the sample into atoms. ICP-OES reads the light they give off, from 165 to 800 nm, measuring many elements at once from sub-ppb to ppm levels. ICP-MS separates them by mass, from 6 to 250 amu, down to parts per trillion, and can also measure isotopes. Both come with software for automatic calibration and interference or background correction, and with autosamplers and other options.
