The HSCo HSC-FTIR spectrometer identifies organic and inorganic compounds from their infrared spectrum, for chemical, pharmaceutical, polymer and environmental labs. It is used to check what a sample is made of, find impurities and confirm that products are consistent. A stable Michelson interferometer covers 4,000 to 400 cm⁻¹ as standard (7,800 to 350 cm⁻¹ as an option) at 0.5 to 4 cm⁻¹ resolution, with a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 40,000:1. Accessories take solids, liquids and gases, and the software matches spectra against libraries and prints reports.
