The HSCo HSC-C-RK25FLR is a floor-standing refrigerated high-speed centrifuge for large volumes. It spins at up to 25,000 rpm (64,983 × g), takes up to 4 × 1,000 ml, and holds the chamber anywhere from −20 to +40 °C within ±1 °C, so temperature-sensitive samples stay cold. A French Tecumseh compressor with R404a refrigerant does the cooling, the speed holds within ±10 rpm, and the timer runs from 1 second to 99 h 59 min 59 s. It is used for isolating proteins, purifying nucleic acids, clinical samples and molecular research.
