The HSCo single-channel manual pipette is an economical adjustable-volume pipette for routine lab work. It has a clear volume window, a precision spring imported from Germany for a smooth plunger, leak-proof tip sealing and chemically resistant, autoclavable parts. Nine volume ranges run from 0.1–2.5 µL up to 1–10 mL.

How to pipette accurately

Set the volume by turning the knob, always within the pipette’s range. Never force the dial past its limits.
Fit the tip firmly for an airtight seal.
Aspirate: hold the pipette upright, press to the first stop, dip the tip 2–3 mm into the liquid and release slowly.
Dispense: press to the first stop, pause, then press to the second stop to blow out the last drop.
Store upright on a pipette stand, never lying flat.

For best accuracy, keep the sample, tip and pipette at the same temperature.

How do I avoid errors?

Pipette upright, dip only 2–3 mm, use the first stop to draw and the second to blow out, and keep everything at the same temperature.
