The HSCo prepared slides set is a collection of ready-made, permanently mounted microscope slides for schools, colleges, universities and research labs. Sets cover botany, zoology, microbiology and pathology, for example root-tip mitosis, dicot stem and pollen grains; Hydra, Amoeba and earthworm sections; bacteria smears and yeast; human blood smears and tissues. Each specimen is stained, sealed under a thin glass cover slip with DPX or Canada balsam, and labelled with its name and classification. The slides come in a lined wooden or plastic box with a slot for each slide.
