The HSCo comparison microscope shows two specimens side by side in one view through twin optical paths, so an examiner can spot small differences in structure, texture and marks. It magnifies from 10× to 200×, up to 1,000× with optional objectives, and has top and bottom lighting and a double mechanical stage. It is used in forensic labs to compare bullets, cartridge cases, fibres and tool marks, and in metallurgy and quality control.
