The HSCo HSC-FH laboratory fume hood keeps hazardous fumes, vapours and dust away from the user in chemical, pharmaceutical and research labs. Air is drawn in through the front at 0.4 to 0.6 m/s and changed at least 12 to 15 times an hour, then sent out through ducting or, on ductless models, cleaned through HEPA and carbon filters. A vertical sliding safety-glass sash sets the working opening, and a digital panel shows the airflow and controls the fan and lights. Alarms warn of low airflow, a saturated filter or an open sash. The standard size is 1,200 × 750 × 2,300 mm, with other sizes on request.
