The HSCo stainless-steel Ford cup viscosity tester measures the viscosity of paints, coatings, inks and other Newtonian or near-Newtonian liquids by the time they take to flow out of a 100 ml cup. Fill the cup, time the flow through the orifice, and compare. It works for efflux times from 30 to 100 seconds at 25 ± 1 °C within ±3%, and comes on a heavy stand with a polished stainless-steel rod and an adjustable arm.
