Getting accurate results
- Place the balance on a firm, level bench away from fans, doors and air-conditioner draughts.
- Keep the draft-shield doors closed while reading.
- Let it warm up, then calibrate with a reference weight; for this, see weight boxes, E1 to M2.
- Handle samples and weights with tweezers or gloves; fingerprints add mass.
