What a dharam kanta is
A dharam kanta is a weighbridge: the platform at the factory gate or mandi on which a whole truck is weighed. The loaded truck gives the gross weight and the empty truck gives the tare. Their difference is the net weight of the goods used in the challan or invoice. In English it is a weighbridge or vehicle scale.
