The HSCMTW is HSCo’s electronic weighbridge for weighing loaded trucks and heavy vehicles. It is built on a heavy-duty IS 2062 steel frame designed with a 50% overload margin, protected by a water-repellent coating for monsoons and wash-downs, and installed by HSCo’s own technicians. It comes in eleven standard sizes from 10 to 120 tonnes, stands on double-ended shear beam load cells and connects to HSCo’s desktop and Android software. Every weighbridge is supplied with government certification and a user manual.
Standard sizes
The HSCMTW is also sold under the model names HSCPLTW and HSCPTW. Eleven standard sizes run from a 4.5 m, 10-tonne platform to a 20 m, 120-tonne platform:

What goes into an HSCMTW
- A frame that does not flex. The whole frame is IS 2062 heavy-duty steel. Load-carrying members are designed for 50% overload and sized to avoid deformation or deflection, and the frame takes lateral and longitudinal stress from a fully loaded vehicle entering from either end.
- A deck vehicles do not skid on. Ribs welded to the top deck give tyres grip in rain and when braking.
- Protection from rust and spills. Two coats of red oxide primer and enamel paint, then a layer of HSCO Hydra, HSCo’s hydrophobic coating, keep the top plate from rusting in the monsoon and resist acid and chemical spills and detergent washing.
- Load cells that are looked after. In-house made load-cell housings protect the load cells from mechanical damage and braking forces and take load from any direction.
- Safer electronics. A lightning-resistant junction box shields the electronics from lightning strikes and electrostatic discharge.
