The HSCo video melting point meter finds the melting point of pharmaceutical and chemical samples by heating them at a set rate and watching them on camera. It tests four samples a batch, magnified 7 times, from room temperature up to 350 – 420 °C depending on the model, with ±0.3 °C accuracy below 250 °C. A TFT touchscreen runs the tests, and results go to USB, RS-232, SD card or Ethernet. Five models, HSC-VM30 to HSC-VM90, range from semi-automatic to fully automatic detection, with video playback, user accounts and method storage on the higher models.
