The HSCo tablet disintegration tester, economy model, measures how long tablets and capsules take to break up in a warmed liquid, for pharmaceutical quality-control and formulation labs. A motor moves the basket of 6 tubes up and down 30 ± 1 times a minute over a 55 ± 2 mm stroke in a 1,000 ml beaker, while an immersion heater with a PT100 sensor holds the bath from room temperature up to 50 °C within ±0.2 °C. The timer runs from 1 second to 99 min 59 s and stops the test automatically with a buzzer. It comes with one basket (HSC-DT1) or two (HSC-DT2).
