HSCo graduated cylinders are borosilicate-glass measuring cylinders for reading liquid volumes in the laboratory, from 5 ml to 500 ml. Borosilicate glass resists chemicals and heat, so the cylinders stay clear and true through repeated washing and use.
Why borosilicate glass
- Chemical resistance. Borosilicate glass stands up to most acids, solvents and reagents used in a lab.
- Thermal stability. It expands very little with heat, so warm liquids and hot washing do not crack it.
- Clear to read. Transparent glass lets you read the meniscus against the graduations.

Choosing a size
Pick the smallest cylinder that holds your volume: a 10 ml cylinder reads 8 ml more precisely than a 100 ml cylinder does. Read at eye level, at the bottom of the meniscus.
