An RS232 port scale is an HSCo weighing scale built at the factory with an RS232 serial output, so every weight goes straight into a computer, PLC, HMI, printer or data logger without anyone writing it down. HSCo builds the scale and sets the connection to match the system it must talk to.

RS232 is a serial link that connects one scale to one PC, printer or PLC over a short cable, typically up to about 15 metres. For longer runs or several scales on one line, RS485 is the usual choice; HSCo builds that too.

There is no one standard setting to publish, because HSCo designs the connection around your system. Tell us the scale you need (capacity and platform size), the equipment it must talk to and the distance between them, and we build it: the port, the output format, the cable length. HSCo designs the hardware and writes the software itself, in Mumbai. Every scale ships with one year of Legal Metrology stamping.
Already have a scale?
You may not need a new one. The RS232 interface for weighing scales adds the port to an existing HSCo scale and most other makes.
