If your weighing scale, weight machine or vajan kata is reading wrong or has stopped working, call our repairs team on +91-7045922251 / +91-7045922206 or send a repair request through the enquiry form below.

We repair all types of weighing scales – table-top, platform and crane scales, weighbridges and laboratory balances – including scales of other brands.

We have a separate After Sales Service division. After your request, our team tells you whether the scale comes to our works or an engineer visits your site.

Simple checks before you call

If the scale works but the readings seem wrong, try these checks:

  • Check that the scale is level and the weighing platform is clean and dry.
  • Allow the scale to warm up before weighing.
  • Check that the display reads zero before placing a load on it.
  • Check the tare setting. Tare deducts the container’s weight so you can weigh its contents.
  • Keep the load within the scale’s stated capacity.
  • If you have a known test weight, use it to check the reading. We supply test weights for checking scales.

If it still reads wrong after these checks, call us and say what you tried.

Repair support in Mumbai and across India

Our address is 186/188 Janjikar Street, near Crawford Market, Mumbai 400003.

Every HSCo scale carries a 1-year warranty (spares and glassware excluded). If yours is under a year old, send the invoice date with your request.

If you need a replacement during the repair, enquire about a scale on rent while yours is being repaired. Send the scale type, capacity, platform size, rental period and site location so we can confirm a suitable option.

Spare parts for repairs

Spares for the models we repair most often are readily available. Our catalogue includes weighing scale accessories and spare parts and load cells.

Calibration and stamping after a repair

A repair, a calibration and a Legal Metrology stamp are three different jobs.

Calibration checks the scale against reference weights and records the result in a certificate. We arrange calibration certificates through NABL-accredited labs.

Legal Metrology verification and stamping is the Government’s legal check. A calibration certificate is different from the Government stamp; a scale used for trade must be verified and stamped.

When an HSCo scale’s stamp falls due, we arrange re-verification anywhere in India. If your scale is used for trade, send its last stamping date and say if you need a calibration certificate. See our calibration and Legal Metrology stamping service.

Annual maintenance contract (AMC) for scales in daily use

An annual maintenance contract (AMC) puts a scale’s checks on a yearly plan. For a scale in daily use, send an AMC request for planned scale checks.
