Crane scale calibration with a known load

What this video shows

The demonstration takes an HSCo crane scale through calibration using a known load. Its captions indicate an entry into the calibration setting, an unloaded zero stage, placement of a load and entry of that load’s value. They do not make the password or every key label clear, so the keys and display in the video are the reference for the unit being calibrated.

This is a task for the person responsible for the scale’s setup and readings. Use the known load appropriate to your unit; the spoken figures in the automatic captions are too unclear to reproduce here.

Steps in the video

  1. Open the calibration setting using the keys shown on the scale.
  2. Enter the calibration password shown in the video.
  3. Set the unloaded scale to zero.
  4. Place the known load on the scale.
  5. Enter the known load's value using the scale keys.
