A junction box joins the load cells of a multi-load-cell scale and sends one combined signal to the indicator. HSCo junction boxes connect and balance 4 or 6 load cells, with a fine-trim adjustment for each cell, so the scale reads the same wherever the load sits. They are used in platform scales, floor scales, and tank and silo weighing systems.
What a good junction box does
- Combines the signals. Sums the output of every load cell into one stable signal for the indicator.
- Balances the corners. Fine-trim adjustment for each load cell corrects corner errors, so the reading doesn’t change with load position.
- Protects the wiring. A sealed, weather-resistant enclosure with cable glands keeps out dust and water.
- Quick to service. Clearly labelled terminals make installation, testing and calibration straightforward, and shorten downtime.

When to replace or upgrade one
