The infantometer (big) is a folding length board for measuring babies lying down. The baby lies on the board with the head against the fixed head board, you slide the foot board up to the heels, and read the length from 10 to 100 cm in 0.1 cm steps. Curved side edges stop the baby rolling off, and the board folds for carrying. It is made by Alpha, a brand of Hindustan Scale Co, and is used in hospitals, clinics and paediatric centres.
