The PLSSS is HSCo’s everyday electronic platform scale: a stainless-steel weighing platform on a strong mild-steel frame, with a pole-mounted indicator whose height you can adjust. It comes in 50, 100, 150, 250 and 300 kg capacities (and can be customised to your need), reads on bright green displays on both sides, and is stamped by the Legal Metrology Department. Shops, warehouses, factories and farms use it for sacks, cartons and bulk goods.

Choosing a capacity
Pick a capacity above your heaviest single load. For sacks up to 50 kg, the 100 kg model gives headroom; for drums and stacked cartons, choose 250 or 300 kg. For finer readings on light goods, take the 5 g accuracy option.
