Reset the slip serial number on any HSCo scale with PLUS and MODE

What this video shows

Every printout from the scale carries a running serial number, and there are times you want it to start again: a new day, a new book of challans, a new financial year. This video shows how the serial number is reset on an HSCo industrial scale: a slip is printed to read the current number (106 in the video), the setting is opened by holding PLUS, the new starting number is set and saved with MODE, and the next slip prints with it.

The video is in Hindi. The steps below follow what is done on screen.

Before you start

The serial number is the one printed on the slip, so the scale needs its printer connected and switched on to check the result.

Steps in the video

  1. Press MODE to print a slip and read the serial number it carries (106 in the video).
  2. Hold PLUS to open the serial number setting.
  3. Set the number you want the next slip to carry, for example 1 or 20.
  4. Press MODE to save it.
  5. Print another slip and check that it carries the new serial number.
