Remove the transformer to reach the hanging scale load cell

What this video shows

The hanging scale is opened to change its load cell. The transformer is removed first because it blocks the space needed to take the load cell out. Its output wires are disconnected and its screws are undone before it is set aside.

The demonstrator then loosens the load cell’s Allen bolts, takes the load cell out and fits the replacement. The bolts are tightened after the replacement is in place.

Steps in the video

  1. Open the scale.
  2. Disconnect the wires from the transformer’s output.
  3. Undo the transformer screws and remove the transformer.
  4. Loosen the load cell’s Allen bolts.
  5. Take the load cell out of the scale.
  6. Fit the replacement load cell.
  7. Tighten the Allen bolts.
