Check the power cord and change the SSS scale battery

What this video shows

The SSS table top scale shows a low battery warning when it is switched on. The demonstrator checks the power cord first: the charging light comes on and the warning clears while the cord is connected, then returns when it is removed. The battery is then taken out through the cover underneath the scale and replaced.

The demonstration shows the two cover screws and the battery’s black and red terminals. After the cover is refitted, the scale is switched on to check the display.

Steps in the video

  1. Switch on the scale and check for the low battery warning.
  2. Check the power cord and connect it to the scale.
  3. Check whether the charging light comes on and the warning clears.
  4. Switch off the scale and turn it over.
  5. Remove the two screws from the battery cover.
  6. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery terminals.
  7. Replace the battery and refit the cover and screws.
  8. Turn the scale over and switch it on to check the display.
